Nigerians react as Naira Marley holds concert in Abuja despite restriction on social gathering [VIDEO]

Naira Marley and the organizers of a concert that was held in Abuja have drawn citizens’ backlash for failing to follow the social distance rule amidst increase cases of Covid 19 in the country.

While some wonder how Naira Marley was able to fly to Abuja from Lagos, some are critical about who approved the Concert despite government restriction on both.

According to COVID-19 taskforce, public gatherings must to be not more than 20 people. Also flights are grounded then who approved this?

The reactions on Twitter

@DrJoeAbah

  1. Somebody approved the Naira Marley concert
  2. Somebody approved the non-essential flight to Abuja
  3. Somebody approved a bottle of hard liquor per ticket
  4. Somebody didn’t stop the concert when it lost control
  5. Somebody should be sacked this morning…if somebody is serious

@ayemojubar: You have the gut even as a lady to risk police arrest / assault in the dead of the night to attend Naira Marley concert in Abuja, but see no reason to carry a placard in the day to protest for good governance.

Ladies and Gents we have no excuse, at the same time in deep shit.

@ogbeniDipo: Why should Naira Marley (who seem to like so much walaha) be arrested again when we watched on TV how several government officials who work with the president flout the lockdown rules and nothing happened to them? The Aisha Buhari issue is also about an SA flying around…

@adeyanjudeji: if Naira Marley gets away with this, all musicians should start doing concerts too & we should all disregard government directives/protocol on the COVID-19 pandemic.
