Looted Funds: Osinbajo denies receiving N4billion from Magu
The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has responded to allegation that the former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, gave him N4billion from the unaccounted N39billion recovered loots.
Recall that Mr Jackson Ude had alleged that Osinbajo gave instructions to Magu to release 4billion naira from the recovered loots.
However, in reaction to the allegation, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande issued a statement, describing the report as fake news and an attempt to rubbish the name of the Vice President.
The statement reads:, “Inundated by wide circulation of Fake News about VP’s purported involvement in some EFCC recovery billions, please rest assured they’re all LIES: calculated to confuse and concocted to smear Prof. Osinbajo’s image”.
