“Another gathering followed at Iponri Estate- this time the gathering of the core left. Alea iacta est- the die has been cast.
The gathering resolved to meet IBB in the streets.
Patria o muerte –
Fatherland or death!
“And Nigerians met IBB in the streets.
On the first day, Carter Bridge was seized. The fiercest battles were fought there. Petrol molotovs & stones v Live rounds. We held ground and lost 2 Nigerians to live rounds.
“As we mark another anniversary tomorrow (today), may the blood of those compatriots continue to water our tree of freedom. I remember them today, as always!
