BREAKING: Senator Buruji Kashamu dies of COVID-19

Senator Buruji Kashamu has been confirmed dead at the first cardiology Consultants in Lagos.

Former senator Buruji Kashamu, a Nigerian politician who served as a Senator representing Ogun East in the 8th National Assembly has been announced dead in the late hours of Saturday, 8th of August, 2020.

The death was announced by prominent Nigerians close to the former Senator.
According to Ben Murray Bruce, who tweeted thus “I have just lost my good friend of forever to COVID-19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable. He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss”.

Fani Kayode also paid homage to the former Senator, tweeting “Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and brother Senator Buruji Kashamu as a result of Covid 19. May the Lord honor and reward him with a place in heaven & may He forgive him of all his sins. RIP my old friend. You fought a good fight & we shall miss you”

Before his death, Buruji Kashamu was the owner of Western lotto. He contested against Ladi Adebutu in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial ticket.
