Appeal court grant PDP right to hold national convention as scheduled
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been granted the right to hold its national convention scheduled for October 30 and 31, 2021. The right was granted to the party the Appeal Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Secondus, through his counsel, Tayo Oyetibo (SAN), in an appeal marked CP/PH/339/2021, is seeking an order of injunction restraining the PDP, its officers and representatives from holding or conducting the national convention on Saturday and Sunday, or any other date pending the hearing and final determination of the appeal.
The embattled former chairman was edged out following his feud with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
The ruling was delivered on Friday by Justice Gabriel Kolawale on behalf of two other justices.
All the three judges led by Justice Haruna Tsammani affirmed the ruling without any dissenting voice.
