Real Madrid: La LIGA champions for the 34th time
Real Madrid sealed their 34th LaLiga title on Thursday with a win over Villarreal at a sweltering Alfredo di Stefano in the home stadium of Real Madrid.
The last time Real Madrid won a La Liga trophy was in 2017 during Zidane first era as Real Madrid Coach.
According to Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos “I’m very proud of this LaLiga title. Because victory, in football and in life, comes from fighting together to the end. I would especially like to remember all our supporters who have passed away or who have lost loved ones to this terrible virus. This one’s for you.”
Real Madrid Coach and Manager Zinedine Zidane was the mastermind behind Real Madrid’s success, the Spanish football side have suffered early league defeat in the beginning of the season with the absence of former star player Christiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid have now shown that they can win the league against Messi’s Barcelona without Cristiano Ronaldo.
Zinedine Zidane had to deal with injuries to his new signing Eden Hazard, still missing Christiano Ronaldo’s goals and had to manage the inexperience of the new players. But he did those perfectly, and made Real Madrid into a defensive machine.
Real Madrid have gone a whole La Liga season unbeaten at home for the first time since 2012/13. Real Madrid truly came together as a team during these tough times. Congratulations! Finally some good news in a year.
