Governor Rotimi Akeredolu recovers from Covid-19, appoints new SSG
Rotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo State, has recovered from COVID-19.
This announcement was made after days of self-isolation.
The Governor delivered the weekly briefing in person after receiving the news that he has tested negative to Covid-19. He thanked the people of the state for their prayers, support and also pledged to win the fight against Covid-19 in the state.
The announcement of the Governor’s recovery from Covid 19 was made less than 24 hours after his estranged Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, asked him to hand over government to him after 21 days as provided by the constitution if he remains in self isolation for the said days.
The Governor has also appointed Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi (Tukana) as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) who is to resume immediately following the resignation of Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde.
