Less than twenty people were present at the Emir of Rano burial- Bashir Ahmad
There is a trending video on the internet showing massive crowd at a burial purported I to be the burial of the Emir of Rano and this has generated a lot of reaction from the public.
However the personal Assistant on new media to the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Bashir Ahmad debunked the video and described it as fake. Bashir made this statement on his official Twitter handle. He said ” The remains of late Emir of Rano buried inside his Palace approximately an hour ago, with less than 20 people attended the burial, but a fake video of thousands people has been trending throughout the day, purported to be his burial, it was not, Rano Emirate official told me”.
The Emir of Rano, Dr Tafida Abubakar Ila II died on Saturday at Nasarawa Specialist Hospital at about 4:45pm after a brief illness.
His Rano emirate is one of four new emirates created in Kano by Governor Ganduje
He was reported to have been hospitalised on Friday though details of his ailment were uncertain but there are strong indication that it has nothing to do with Covid-19.
